There are two nucleotides that were not connected to the DNA cartoon strands. Which strand is the growing strand and which strand is the template strand? Can you tell which base was just added to the growing strand and which base is about to be added? The presentation of the terminal bases for both strands have been changed to help you see the atomic details.
