My project will focus on the characterization and utilization of stochasticity in gene expression. Stochasticity in gene expression influences to construction of parts to devices to systems in synthetic biology. While it stands as a goal, for synthetic biologists, to create libraries of standarized parts and devices, inherent stochasticity is a factor that will always need to be incorporated into the synthetic process.
