Since beginning in Winter 2003, over 10 students have been involved in microarray research to study gene expression in yeast at Nova Southeastern University under the direction of Dr. Emily Schmitt.

Currently Honors Student, Maria Farrell is conducting research concerning, “The Effects of Aluminum on Gene Expression in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.” He work is funded by Beta Beta Beta, National Biological Honor Society and the NSU Honors Program. Her project date of Anticipated completion is 5/06.
