3D Structure of RNase P from Bacillus subtilis

Look at two tRNase moleculesfrom yeast.

This is RNase P from Bacillus subtilis. It is made of one subunit and included in this view are a sulphate ion (CPK yellow sulpher and red oxygen) and two zinc ions (orange).

Reset View of RNase P.

What amnio acids are attached to the ions? If the charge on sulfate is -4, how many amino acids and of what charge do you think need to hold on to it?
Histidine (pink) has a charge of +1 and arginine (red) also has a charge of +1.

Zinc has a charge of +2. What do you expect to see?
One Zn ion is nearest two positively charged amino acids: histidine (pink) and lysine (green). The other Zn is near negatively charged glutamate (blue) and neutral glutamine (yellow).
