u=growth rate
m=maturation constant for oxygen-dependent fluorophore activation of GFP
D=first-order rate constant for protease-mediated degredation
fss=exponential-phase steady state concentration of GFP
P=rate of promoter driven production of GFP
Main Idea:
Flouresence/absorbance per hour is measured by the rate of production, the amount of GFP in the cell, and the time GFP stays in the cell.
