KYTE DOOLITTLE HYDROPATHY PLOT

If you enter your sequence below a new window will appear with your hydropathy plot results.

You can change the window size to adjust the number of amino acids that are averaged to obtain an individual hydropathy score.  Your window size can drastically change the appearance of the resulting graph and the predictions you make about protein structure.  To learn how to use the window size effectively click here.

You can also zoom in on a section of your protein that is of particular interest.  Enter the range of amino acids you wish to view into the appropriate boxes below. To guarantee that your plot includes all the windows that contain the amino acids of interest, subtract your window size from your start position.  This extends the range to include the first window that includes the first interesting amino acid.  For example, if you wanted to look at amino acids 100-200 with a window size of 9, enter "91" and "200" as the start and end positions.  When in doubt, overestimate the range needed to see the interesting points.
